DALLAS BAPTIST UNIVERSITY ATHLETICS

Lisa Olian is the Athlete Spotlight for the month of January. Olian is a junior from Georgetown, Texas, and is a member of the 2009-2010 Lady Patriot Tennis Team.

Olian is currently in her third season at DBU and has excelled both on and off the tennis court. In her career as a Lady Patriot, Olian holds an overall record of 21-12 in singles play, and a 25-12 record in doubles action. In the classroom, she maintains a 3.48 GPA as a Communications Major.

Lisa attends First Baptist Church in Arlington, and is very involved in the Young Adult Ministry. She also works at Bent Tree Country Club where she teaches the Junior Tennis Program.

"Lisa is an extremely hard worker who always has a smile on her face. I can count on her to give her teammates and myself 100% every time she steps on the court,” said Head Coach Jennifer Curran. “She has been a perfect fit for DBU as a Christian leader and tennis player. I am so proud of what Lisa has accomplished in her first two years here, and believe she is going to continue to grow and have a strong junior year."
