Six members of the 2009-2010 Patriot Basketball Team were selected to the NABC Honors Court, announced on Tuesday by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). Seniors Bryan Baumann, Eddie Gloviak, and Heath Wiechman, as well as Juniors Braxton Adamson, Jared Whitmire, and Sophomore Armie Lewis were all selected for their achievements this past season.
The NABC Honors Court recognizes athletes nationwide for their efforts on the basketball court as well as their commitment to excellence in the classroom. All student-athletes selected must meet a high academic standard including a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2009-10 academic year.
Gloviak and Wiechman were members of the inaugural 2006 Patriot Basketball Team, and used their experience and leadership to guide the 2009-2010 program. Gloviak, from Rockwall, Texas, wrapped up his final season averaging 11.5 points per game to go along with 4.9 rebounds. Wiechman, a native of Sydney, Australia, averaged 6.5 points and 2.8 rebounds per game.

The senior from Allen, Texas, was a Second Team All-Heartland Conference selection, and was second on the team in scoring, averaging 14.3 points per game. Baumann was also ranked third in the Heartland Conference shooting 44 percent from behind the arc.
Adamson led DBU in scoring for the second consecutive season, averaging 15.4 points. Adamson followed closely behind his teammate in three point accuracy, ranking fourth in the conference with 43 percent. The Junior from Rockwall was chosen as a Honorable Mention All-Heartland Conference player, ranking seventh in the league in scoring.

He averaged 4.1 points per game, with his highest output coming against Texas A&M International when he went three for three from behind the arc to finish with 13 points, three rebounds, and two assists.
After taking a medical redshirt during the 2008-2009 season, Lewis took over the point guard position for the Patriots last season, starting 29 of 30 games. The Sophomore from Clear Lake, Texas, averaged 6.9 points per game, and was second in the conference with 3.7 assists per game.
