The Lady Patriot Golf Team opened up play of the Interwest Chico State Invite on Monday in sixth place after posting a team 327 at the challenging Canyon Oaks Country Club in Chico, California.  Led by Freshman Sydney Williams, the Lady Patriots will begin Tuesday's final round six shots back of the fifth place   team.  

Continuing her exceptional play, Williams fired an opening round, three over par 75 on Monday and will begin Tuesday's final round in second place, one stroke shy of the individual lead.  "Very impressed with the way that Sydney is playing right now.  We will look forward for another solid round out of her and from her teammates on Tuesday," stated Head Coach Kenny Trapp.  

Junior Mercedes Rios (80), Freshman Macie Seeker (85), Freshman Abbey Bradley (87), and Sophomore Erin Barrington (88) all contributed to the Lady Patriots' team 327 on Monday.  

The Lady Patriots will be back in action on Tuesday for round two of the Interwest Chico State Invite.
