Jess Jobe begins his fifth year with the Women’s Soccer Team at Dallas Baptist University and serves as the team's Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. Jobe came to DBU as a Graduate Assistant in 2011 and 2012, and transitioned into a full-time Assistant Coach position with the team in 2013. Jobe joined the DBU staff from the University of North Texas, where he served as the Goalkeeper Coach during the 2010 season.
Before joining the coaching staff at UNT, Jobe served as a Student Assistant at his Alma-mater, Fontbonne University in St. Louis, Missouri, while he completed his Bachelor of Science in Sports Management in 2009.
While attending Fontbonne, Jobe was a three sport athlete as a member of the soccer, basketball, and golf teams. In soccer, Jobe earned First-Team All-SLIAC Honors in 2006 and 2007, First-Team All-SLIAC-Tournament Honors in 2006 and 2007 as a goalkeeper and in 2008 as a midfielder. Jobe helped Fontbonne make three consecutive Conference Championship appearances and win two SLIAC Conference Titles (2006 and 2008) and served as the team’s captain in 2008. Before transferring to play at Fontbonne, Jobe was a part of the Georgia Southern University Men’s Soccer Program in 2005 during his freshman year.
In addition to his duties at DBU, Jobe has served North Texas State Soccer coaching goalkeepers for the North Texas Olympic Development Program (ODP) Boys and Girls State Teams since 2010. Beginning in 2012 he has gained valuable experience as a member of the Region III ODP coaching staff for U.S. Youth Soccer. He holds USSF 'D' coaching credentials, a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, and NSCAA Regional Goalkeeping Diploma coaching licenses.
Jobe is originally from Denton, Texas, currently resides in Arlington, Texas, and attends the Village Church in Ft. Worth, Texas.
