Lauren Nicks, as released by the conference office today has received Heartland Conference Player of the Week honors for her play against St. Edward's and Midwestern State University during the week of September 28 - October 4. Nicks is the first Lady Patriot to receive Heartland Conference Player of the Week honors.

Libero of the Week, Lauren Nicks helped lead DBU to a 2-0 mark over the week. Nicks' week started with a 37 dig performance against St. Edward's, followed by a 23 dig outing versus Midwestern State. Along with setting match highs during the week, Nicks also averaged 6.67 digs per set.  

The Lady Patriots return to action on Thursday, October 8, where they will face off against the University of Texas-Permian Basin Falcons. The match is set for 7 pm.
