Lauren Nicks, as released by the conference office today, has received Heartland Conference Player of the Week honors for the second straight week.  Nicks, a freshman from Arlington, Texas, was recognized for her play against Texas Woman's University, the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith, and Newman University during the week of October 26 - October 31. The award marks the third time this season that Nicks has been named Libero of the Week by the Heartland Conference, becoming the first freshman in Dallas Baptist University history to earn the distinction three times in one year. 

Libero of the Week, Lauren Nicks had a big week for the Lady Patriots registering 84 digs during the three contests. Nicks turned in 19 digs versus TWU, 22 digs versus UAFS, and 43 digs versus NU, while averaging 8.4 digs per set.

DBU returns to action Thursday, November 5, as they head to Odessa, TX to take on the University of Texas-Permian Basin Falcons. First serve is set for 7 pm.
