Kirby Ronning

Kirby Ronning begins his first year as Graduate Assistant of the Dallas Baptist Men's Tennis Team. He brings a substantial amount of playing and leadership experience to the squad.  As an undergrad, Ronning received a BS in Business, emphasizing in Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Finance from Bethel University in Saint Paul, Minnesota.  While at DBU, he will be pursuing his MBA in Management.
 
During his time at Bethel, Kirby played for four years on the men's tennis team and played primarily at the No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles spot his senior year.  He was honored with the MIAC Sportsmanship award in the spring of both 2013 and 2014.  As a senior, Kirby also served as a team captain.
 
Ronning also brings a wealth of teaching experience to DBU. He worked as a high-performance juniors instructor for three summers at Wayzata Country Club in Minnesota.  A year after graduating from Bethel, he also served as a volunteer assistant with the men's and women's tennis teams at Bethel University. From August-December of 2015, Kirby also had an opportunity to teach tennis in Zhongshan, China.  While there, he taught private lessons and also worked in player development with four women that hold top 1000 singles rankings.
