Men's Basketball
The DBU Patriots defeated the Ecclesia College Royals in convincing fashion on Saturday night, by the score of 100-40. The Patriots improved to 3-0 on the season and dominated the Royals from the tip off on DBU's Annual Homecoming night. Sophomore Braxton Adamson lead the way with 20 points and 3 steals, in front of a sell out crowd in the Burg Center.
Freshman Jordan McGowan came off the bench for the Patriots and contributed 12 points off the bench. DBU finished the half with 25 points coming from the bench.
Aggressive defense late in the half helped the Patriots extend their lead against the Royals and head into halftime with a big 61-20 lead.
The second half was no different with the Patriots finishing off the Ecclesia Royals in a final score of 100-40.
McGowan finished the game with 16 points; Junior Bryan Baumann had 10 points and 7 rebounds, and Senior Justin Pinckney added 12 points and 5 total rebounds.
The Patriots are back in action Tuesday night November 25, as they host East Central University in the Bur g Center at 7:00 p.m.
