The Dallas Baptist University Patriot Basketball Team improved their season record to 3-4 on Tuesday night as they captured a hard fought game, defeating the Tigers from East Central University by the score of 100-94 in Ada, Oklahoma.
The Tigers came out strong in the first half as they built a substantial 15-point lead over the Patriots with three minutes left in the first half. Junior

Bryan Baumann mounted a strong offensive push late in the half to cut the Tiger lead to only five points, as both teams headed into the locker room for halftime.
A few costly fouls by East Central to open the second half gave the Patriots the opportunity they needed, as Bauman drained a three point shot to take the lead, 59-57. DBU never looked back as they held the lead to the game ended horn to grab their third win of the season by the score of, 100-94.
Senior
Bryan Baumann led the Patriots in the win with 31 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists in 38 minutes for his first double double of the 2009-2010 season. Baumann shot an impressive 5-for-8 from distance and was 9-for-15 from the field. He also connected on 8 out of 10 from the charity stripe.
“I am very proud of our guys tonight. We have had a tough stretch of five out of seven road games and this was a big win against a good team. We fell behind early, but never gave up. That is a sign of a team with competitive spirit and confidence,” Head Coach Blake Flickner said.
The Patriots are back on the court on Saturday, December 19, as they look for their fourth win of the season when they host the University of Arkansas-Ft. Smith on the campus of DBU.
