The DBU Patriots fell to 2-2 on the season after losing to the TCU Horned Frogs on Tuesday night, by the score of 6-0 in Fort Worth. With the win, TCU improves to 4-1 for the season.

Leading the Patriots at the plate was Junior Ryan Enos, who had two singles on the evening, but DBU only managed three total hits on the evening.

The Horned Frogs Matt Vern hit a two-run homerun to left field off Junior Ryan Millard to open up scoring in the bottom of the second inning.

TCU added to their lead in the third with their second two-run homerun of the night, pushing their lead to 4-0.

In the bottom of the fourth the Horned Frogs pushed across another run after a single, walk, and a RBI single against Millard. The Patriots were able to get out of the jam when TCU grounded into a inning ending double play.

Freshman Ben Palmer relieved Millard and pitched two scoreless innings. Junior Michael LaCourse pitched a scoreless seventh and Freshman Ryan Behmanesh allowed an unearned run in the ninth, leaving the score 6-0.

Steven Maxwell (1-0) picked up the win on the night, while Millard dropped to 0-1 on the season after suffering the loss.

The Patriots are back in action Thursday night February 26 as they welcome Sienna College to Patriot Field for a three game series.
