Road Trip Continues for Men's Soccer

LAKEWOOD, Co. – The Dallas Baptist Men's Soccer team picks up its long road stretch Thursday at Colorado Christian at 7pm. Still in a young campaign, the matchup marks the halfway point of a six game road trip. The Patriots are 1-1 currently, after falling 4-0 last time out at Christian Brothers University.

Three different Patriots have reached the scoring column. Senior Midfielder, Rodrigo Barrientos, had the game winner against Harding University in the season opener. Sophomore, David Balyeat, and freshman, Riley Alvey, make up the rest of the scoring trio. Junior, Ryan Jackson, and Balyeat have one assist each.

Sophomore, Chuck Schober, has started both games as goalkeeper and tallied a 1-1 record. The McKinney, Texas, native has picked up seven saves.

CCU enters having dropped its first three games on the season. The Cougars dropped their home debut 4-1 to Western Washington University. Luke Burgard had the lone score, and is amongst three players that have accounted for the team's three goals.

The teams did not face each other last season.
