Lady Patriots Dominate East Central 3-0

THE RUNDOWN
After dropping their past seven matches the Dallas Baptist Volleyball team gets back in the win column after cruising past East Central University, 3-0. The Lady Patriots had various match highs which included Krystal Wunderlich's 12 kills, Kaycie Bird's 36 assists, and Tadam Mergener's 14 digs.

In the first set DBU would jump out early against ECU building a, 4-1 lead. As the set went on the Tigers would close the lead on the Lady Patriots still trailing, 6-5. DBU would then score six straight points to extend their lead on ECU, 12-5. Steady scoring would lead the Lady Patriots  to tame the Tigers, 25-19.

The second set would be tighter between DBU and ECU as they would tie the score 13 times and have six lead changes. With both teams tied at 18 late into the second set DBU would take the lead by scoring four straight points taking a, 22-18 advantage. Despite a late ECU rally it would not be enough as the Lady Patriots would hold on and win the second set, 25-22.

After starting the third set behind 2-0 the Lady Patriots would comeback on the defenseless Tigers and engineer a, 15-7 lead that would easily carry them to a, 25-17 victory completing the sweep in straight sets.
