THE LEAD
Dallas Baptist defeated Oklahoma Christian 2-0 on Saturday at Eagle Soccer Field in Edmond, Oklahoma, to improve to 2-0 in Heartland Conference play. The match was scoreless until the 77^th minute, when junior forward Riley Alvey put a penalty kick past Eagle goalkeeper Evan Helker for his sixth goal of the season.
 
Freshman midfielder Michalin Dennie extended the Patriot lead to 2-0 in the 89^th minute on a chip shot over Helker. DBU goalie Mason Stringer tied his season-high save total with seven in Saturday's match.
