DBU Blanks No. 21 Colorado School of Mines 2-0

THE LEAD
Dallas Baptist University advanced to the third round of the 2015 NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship with a 2-0 victory over No. 21 Colorado School of Mines on Saturday afternoon. In front of a crowd of 374 at Patriot Soccer Field, senior forward Ashley Cox recorded her third multigoal performance in seven matches with two converted headers in the fourth and 69th minutes.

Freshman midfielder Lindsey Washburn and senior forward Rebecca Kernen were credited with the assists on Cox's goals. The Patriot defense, led by senior goalkeeper Jenna Ackerly, limited the Orediggers to just four shots on goal. Ackerly made four saves to increase her season total to 94.

IN THE NUMBERS
100 - With her first goal, Ashley Cox became just the second player in program history to reach 100 career points scored.
10 - DBU won their 10th game at home this year, marking the highest win total in program history.
11 - Cox topped her old single-season goal total from 2013 (10) with her second score.
