THE LEAD
No. 6 Dallas Baptist University lost 3-1 to No. 2 Western Washington in the quarterfinals of the 2015 NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship on Saturday in Bellingham, Washington. Catherine Miles scored two goals, including the game-winner, for the Vikings to lift Western Washington to the Final Four over the Patriots.

Western Washington's Caitlyn Jobanek scored an early goal after dribbling through multiple defenders and putting one past senior goalkeeper Jenna Ackerly to give the Vikings a 1-0 lead. DBU responded in the 56th minute on a goal by sophomore forward McKenna Namken to even the score at 1-1.

Miles scored the game-winner seven minutes later after a fumbled save by Ackerly. Miles netted her second goal after another nine minutes to extend Western Washington's lead to 3-1 in the 72nd minute. The Patriots' defense forced many bad looks as the Vikings only placed nine of their 27 shots on goal. Ackerly made six saves in the match.
