Following a 43-13 season, the Dallas Baptist Baseball team has been selected by the NCAA selection committee as one of the top 16 teams in the nation to host a Regional Tournament, scheduled to begin on Friday, May 29 at Horner Ballpark. Today's announcement marks the first time in school history since DBU joined the NCAA Division I ranks in 2004 and became eligible for the postseason in 2006, in which Dallas Baptist University will host a Regional Tournament.
The Patriots have compiled a stellar resume in 2015 that includes eclipsing 40 wins during the regular season for the first time in school history and a second place finish in the Missouri Valley Conference. DBU has been ranked as high as No. 9 in the nation this year and held the top RPI in college baseball for eight of the past nine weeks. Currently, the Patriots hold the No. 2 RPI in the nation.  Â
