DBU Defeated by No. 17 Angelo State

THE LEAD
Dallas Baptist fell to No. 17 Angelo State 3-1 on Thursday after a three-goal second half erased a 1-0 Patriot lead at halftime. DBU falls to 2-2-1 with the loss and the Rams improved to 3-0-1.
 
Senior Lindsey Eccles scored her first goal of the season and 16th of her career in the 22nd minute to give the Patriots a 1-0 lead. ASU midfielder Haley Mendel, the Rams' leading goal-scorer, netted her fourth of the season in the 67th minute to level the score.
 
Angelo State forwards Tiffany Dang and Demi Tsambasis scored in the 80th and 83rd minutes, respectively, to give the Rams the lead.
 
IN THE NUMBERS
2 – Eccles' 16th career goal is tied for second on the active roster behind Ashley Cox (26).
14 – After facing just four shots in the first half, Jenna Ackerly saw 14 come her way in the second half.
