THE LEADÂ The Dallas Baptist University men's basketball team defeated Lubbock Christian 93-67 behind another successful performance from three-point range on Monday night at the Burg Center.
Shannon Lilly led the Patriots with a season-high 29 points, converting a career high seven-of-10 three-pointers and shooting 11-for-16 from the field overall. Lilly also added five rebounds and four assists. DBU got out to a 21-4 lead in the first five minutes of play, led by Lilly's four three pointers on as many attempts. The Patriots shot a perfect eight-for-eight during the run.Â
Myles Johnson joined Lilly in double-figures with 18 points on four-of-six shooting from beyond the arc. Johnson excelled on the defensive side as well, registering four blocks in the game.
Joey Miller put up 14 points on seven-of-nine shooting, and
Patrick Burke recorded 11 points along with six rebounds. DBU shot 15-for-28 (53.6 percent) from three-point range as a team.
