THE LEAD
The Lady Patriots won third straight in their matchup against Texas A&M International today. DBU is playing well together and the team has really found its rhythm in conference play. Senior leaders Carly Hess and Hannah Ballew led the Lady Patriots. Hess led the match with 12 kills and Ballew led DBU with 18 digs.
 
TAMIU was able to steal the first set in large part to a 4 and 5-point run. This gave Texas A&M International an early 13-9 lead. That lead lasted until DBU struck back with a 5-point run of their own to earn their first lead at 19-20. TAMIU was able to outlast the Lady Patriots to finish as they won 25-22.
 
DBU quickly turned things around in the second set.. With the Lady Patriots holding a 3-point lead in the second set 15-18, DBU scored the final 7 points to win 18-25.
 
The Lady Patriots got out to an early 1-6 lead in the third set and cruised through the rest of the match. DBU took the third set 16-25.
 
The fourth set began with 8 different tie scores. The Lady Patriots pulled away with a 4-point run that helped them maintain a consistent lead. DBU finished with a 19-25 set and match victory.
