Tyler Hofmann posted another quality performance with seven saves, but allowed one goal on a penalty kick that proved to be the difference.
Both schools were relatively quiet in the first half as neither placed a shot on goal, but the Hilltoppers posted a 6-0 advantage in shots. St. Edward's earned a penalty kick in the early minutes of the second half, and Dylan Armstrong scored the spot goal to put the Hilltoppers on top 1-0.
