THE LEAD
The Dallas Baptist University Women's Soccer team defeated Texas A&M International University, 4-0, on Saturday afternoon at Patriot Soccer Field in Dallas, Texas.
Kristina Williamson and
Katelyn Havard each registered a goal and an assist to lead the Patriot offense.
Senior
Cecily Martinez put DBU on the board first in the 4th minute, receiving a pass from
Emmy Niece and chipping it over goalkeeper Kiyana Lopez. The Patriots extended the lead to 2-0 when
Maggie Scales headed in a flick from
Kristina Williamson in the 28th minute.
Havard picked up her first point of the match in the 36th minute after crossing the ball into the box for Williamson, who dribbled around a defender and scored past Lopez. Havard scored a goal of her own to make it 4-0 in the 65th minute as she received a cross from
McKenna Namken at the backside of the goal and headed it in.

 - The 4-0 victory was the largest margin of victory since the Patriots defeated St. Mary's, 4-0, in the semifinals of the 2015 Heartland Conference Tournament.
 - DBU outshot the Dustdevils 9-0 in the second half of the game.

6 - The win marks DBU's sixth-straight regular season with at least 10 wins.
11 - The Patriots' 11 shots on goal are the most in a match since racking up 15 their win earlier this season over TAMIU on September 29.
