The Dallas Baptist University Men's Soccer team lost to St. Mary's, 2-1, on Thursday night at Patriot Soccer Field in Dallas, Texas. After going down 2-0 in the 68th minute, the Patriots tried to launch a late comeback but were held off by the Rattlers.
With 56 seconds left in the match, goalkeeper
Sean Bouland put a free kick into the box that was headed by
Garrett Morgan to the far right corner of the goal, and was finished off by
Ryan Anderson. DBU marched down the field shortly after, setting up
Brooks Friedman for a chance for the game tying goal. Friedman's attempt was wide right of the net.
