THE LEAD
The Dallas Baptist University Men's Basketball team defeated Baptist Bible College, 107-31, on Friday night at The Burg Center in Dallas, Texas.
Carter Brown and
Conner Lidiak led the Patriots in scoring with 22 points apiece to fuel the high-scoring offense.

Jay Payton and
Brayden Harris joined the duo in double digits with 13 points each on a combined 11-for-14 from the field.
Grey Parrish recorded a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
Julian Miranda led DBU with 13 assists, breaking the program record for single-game assists (11), last done by
Shannon Lilly on Dec. 15, 2014 against Rogers State.

The Patriots stormed out to a 10-0 lead in the first two minutes, forcing BBC to call a timeout. DBU continued their run to extend the margin to 18-0 before Baptist Bible scored 4:35 into the game on a three-pointer by Luke Puetz. Puetz led the Patriots with 13 points. After the first media timeout, the Patriots made eight straight field goals, giving them a 34-8 lead. Lidiak reached double-digits by the 13:15 mark on a jumper that extended the lead to 25-6. Later in the half, DBU rattled off a 13-2 run as BBC went on a four-minute scoring drought. The Patriots held their opponent scoreless over the final two minutes, heading into the break with a 58-16 lead.

DBU came out in the second half firing, extending the lead to 66-16 on four-of-four shooting. BBC was held scoreless through the first four minutes for the second half as well, finally breaking the drought with a Seth Thompson three-pointer. Baptist Bible showed some glimpses of offense after the second media timeout with three straight field goals to make the score 75-27. DBU responded with a 30-1 run, and BBC went nearly 10 minutes without a field goal. The Patriots finally got on the board with a three-pointer by Puetz with 1:25 remaining, but DBU cruised to a 107-31 final.
