THE RUNDOWN

The Lady Patriots usually find more success in their blocking, but they could only register one block on the night. The DBU offense also struggled tonight with the team attack percentage at .092. They did find a bright spot in the offense with
Brooke Clark finishing with a game-high 14 kills. Not only did Brooke finish with the most kills in the match, but she also posted only one error which brought her attack percentage to an impressive .565.
DBU started off the first set with a lot of energy and enthusiasm which helped them get out to an 8-1 lead. The Lady Hilltoppers would then score 13 of the next 14 points to increase their lead to 23-7 before winning the set 25-9. The Lady Patriots seemed a little taken back after losing the second set by 16 points and came out in the third set a little disorganized. A few errors by DBU allowed St. Edward's to take a 5-2 lead. The Lady Patriots calmed down from there and fought back to take a 14-12 lead.
