THE RUNDOWN
DBU lost to the Lady Lions tonight at home in a 0-3 match. It was a tough game tonight for the Lady Patriots as they couldn't seem to get much going on the offensive or defensive side. UAFS ended the match outscoring DBU in all major categories except for digs. Madeline Dolberry had the standout performance for the Lady Patriots as she led the team with 10 kills and tallied the team's only two blocks. It was a scrappy performance by DBU tonight, but the impressive attack from UAFS was too much tonight. 

The first set started out with high energy from both squads. With DBU leading 6-4 the Lady Lions scored seven points in a row to take an 11-6 lead. They would hold onto that lead the rest of the set and would easily take the first set 25-15. The second set saw the Lady Patriots ready to tie the match up. With DBU down only 7-10 the Lady Lions broke things open again. After a few errors from DBU and some impressive kills by UAFS, the Lady Lions took the lead to 21-11. They would go on to win the second set 25-18. The Lady Lions jumped out to a 15-10 lead in the third set. They would score eight of the next nine points to make it a 23-11 lead before ultimately winning the set 25-14 and winning the match 3-0.

THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

• The Lady Patriots played from behind for a majority of the match and they could never find a rhythm on offense to allow them to come back.
• Blocking has been DBU's strength this season, but they couldn't find a way to do it tonight, only registering two blocks total. 
• Kasey Holand had a solid game coming back from her injury. She registered four kills which ties for second most on the team tonight.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
22- Errors hurt the Lady Patriots tonight. They finished with 22 errors total while UAFS finished with 9.
10- Madeline Dolberry had an impressive match. In a game with limited offense she finished with a game-high 10 kills.
3- This marks the third time the Lady Patriots have lost two straight matches after a win.
