THE RUNDOWN
In a game that saw 15 lead changes, No. 18 DBU fended off Rogers State for a 59-57 victory Wednesday at the Burg Center. The Patriots (18-3, 8-2) overcame a cold shooting night from the floor in picking up their 22nd straight home win. The Hillcats (14-7, 5-4) lost to a ranked team for the second time in as many games, putting up a season-low 57 points.
After trailing by as many as 10 points, DBU finished the first half on a 6-0 run to cut the Rogers State lead to 3. Neither team led by more than five points in the game's final 15 minutes. Harris' jumper with 1:01 left on the clock gave the Patriots the lead for good, and his four free throws helped seal the deal in the last 30 seconds.
Conner Lidiak added 14 points off the bench, including a 4-for-11 performance from behind the three-point line on a night that saw the Patriots post their worst three-point percentage of the season. DBU held Brewster Peacock, the first-half leader with 13 points, to just five points after intermission.
