Patriots Fall on the Road in Commerce

THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Basketball team fell 83-61 at Texas A&M Commerce on Thursday in a non-conference game. DBU attempted to erase a 13-point halftime deficit, but Texas A&M Commerce's brilliant shooting performance held off the Patriots for the remainder of the second half. The Lions shot 57 percent from the field and saw 19 points from Reggie Reid who was 7-14 from the field.

Texas A&M Commerce lead by 20 points with just under 13 minutes remaining in the second half. The Lions scored 36 points in the paint in the contest, matching their season high. Commerce made seven of their final nine field goal attempts and five of six from beyond the arc in the games closing minutes.

Commerce made 13 of 24 three-pointers, including seven of 12 in the first half. The Patriots had two players in double figures as Conner Lidiak posted 18 points, while Carter Brown recorded 17 of his own.
