DBU Volleyball was seeded No. 10 Sunday morning for the Lone Star Conference Tournament.  The Lady Patriots will face the No. 7 seed UT Permian Basin Tuesday night at 6 p.m. in Odessa, Texas.
 
This is the first time the Lady Patriots will play in the Lone Star Conference Tournament.
 
DBU played the Falcons for the first time since 2015 earlier this season. DBU took a 3-0 loss against the team on the Falcons' home court.
 
DBU Volleyball ended the 2019 regular season 15-15 and 7-11 in Lone Star Conference matchups. The Lady Patriots qualified for the Heartland Conference Tournament back in 2015. The No. 4 seeded DBU team fell to No. 1 seeded University of Arkansas-Fort Smith in four sets, 3-1 in the first round.  
 
UT Permian Basin Volleyball ended their season 19-8 overall and 11-7 in conference play. Their home-record stands at 9-4 on the season and are coming off a 1-3 loss against West Texas A&M. The last time the Falcons qualified for a conference tournament was back in 2011 when they qualified for the Heartland Conference Tournament. The team fell to Arkansas Fort-Smith 0-3 in the first round of the tournament.
 
The winner of Tuesdays matchup and the top four teams will play at No. 1 seed A&M Commerce. That matchup will begin Thursday, November 21 and run through Saturday, November 23.
 
The single-elimination tournament consists of four opening round matches on Tuesday, followed by four quarterfinal contests on Thursday, two semifinal games on Friday evening and the championship match on Saturday.
 
In addition to claiming the LSC title, the winner will receive the league's automatic berth into the NCAA Division II Volleyball Championship.
