THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Men's Soccer team defeated UT Tyler 4-1 Saturday behind goals from
Abraham Garcia,
Jonathan Leach,
Brandon Torres and
David Trevizo. The win was the first for the Patriots in over a month, and was also the Patriots first win in Lone Star Conference play.
Garcia got the scoring started early, tapping a shot past the keeper just over a minute into the contest. UT Tyler answered in the 12th minute with a goal from Michael Agyeman. Thirty seconds before halftime,
Jonathan Leach found the back of the net from the foot of
Noah Mekonnen.
In the 62nd minute,
Brandon Torres won a ball around the box and headed a shot in the back of the net making it 3-1 in favor of DBU.
David Trevizo scored his third goal of the season in the 69th minute to seal the 4-1 victory for the Patriots.

- The win marks the Patriots first since September 19 against SAGU.
- The Patriots have not scored four goals in a match until tonight.
- DBU outshot UT Tyler 18 to 11.
