DBU Hosts Angelo State in Lone Star Conference Matchup

COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF
The Patriots enter Saturday's Lone Star Conference clash with Angelo State while riding an undefeated season with 12 wins after a 0-0 draw versus St. Edward's on Thursday. After numerous back-and-forth chances, the two teams settled for a draw after 110 minutes.

The match marked the first time DBU had been shut out all season, and St. Edward's first time since September 21.

In overtime, both squads battled for the golden goal, but found no luck despite the Patriots offensive efforts.

PATRIOT STORYLINES
- DBU enters the weekend ranked No. 8 in the nation in the United Soccer Coaches Poll.
- The Patriots average 2.57 goals per game so far this year, which is the third most in the Lone Star Conference
- Delaney Schmidt leads the team with eight goals on the season.
- With a win, the Patriots will be 10-0-1 in LSC play.
 
SCOUTING ANGELO STATE
- The Belles are 11-4-1 on the season.
- ASU fell to TWU 1-0 on November 1.
- Between the pipes, Kira Miller ranks fourth in the conference for goals against average with a .900 and leads the conference in shutouts with five. Miller has played 1300 minutes in the goal and has registered 46 saves and a 0.780 save percentage. She holds an 11-3-1 record.
- Trenadey Scott leads the conference for shots with 57 and a 4.07 average per game and ranks second for shots on goal with 26 and a 1.86 average. Scott has netted five goals and has tallied five assists on the season and ties for first on the team for points with 15.

SERIES HISTORY
ASU last played DBU in 2015 and defeated the Patriots 3-1 in San Angelo. This will be the first matchup in three years and the first conference matchup in school history as the Patriots joined the Lone Star Conference this year. ASU leads the all-time series 5-1-0.
