COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF
The No. 9 DBU Women' s Soccer team will be the No. 2 seed and host the first two rounds of the NCAA South Central Regional, as announced by the NCAA on Monday night. The Patriots will face the winner of Thursday's match featuring No. 3 seed Colorado School of Mines and No. 6 seed St. Edward's. 

Thursday's match between Colorado Mines and St. Edward's is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. and DBU's second round match on Saturday is also slated for a 1:00 p.m. start.

DBU secured the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament after winning the Lone Star Conference Tournament with a 2-1 victory over St. Edward's on Sunday. The Patriots also won the league's regular-season title and carry a 17-0-2 mark into the postseason.

PATRIOT STORYLINES
 - Delaney Schmidt finished the regular season third in the Lone Star Conference in total goals, and seventh in scoring at 1.26 points per game.
 - DBU's seniors have been to the NCAA tournament each year of their Patriot careers. 
 - Kaci Parks leads DBU with five assists. Five Patriots have at least three assists.
 - DBU average's 2.42 goals per game, up from last years 1.90 goals per game mark.
 - The Patriots have won its respective conference tournament five straight seasons.
 
SCOUTING ST. EDWARD'S
- The Hilltoppers are making their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 106.
- The Hilltoppers look to best their 2013 showing where they advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament
- St. Edward's finished second in the LSC Tournament, falling 2-1 to DBU in the finals.
- SEU and Mines met on September 13 in Austin with the Orediggers winning the game, 1-0. 
- Sixteen different Hilltoppers have recorded a point this season.

SCOUTING COLORADO SCHOOL OF MINES
- The Orediggers breezed through the RMAC Tournament, defeating No. 1 UCCS 2-0 in the title game.
- CSM is ranked No. 16  in the most recent United Soccer Coaches poll.
- Colorado School of Mines has not allowed a goal since October 20 versus MSU-Denver.
- Nicole LaTourette leads the Orediggers with 20 points (eight goals, four assists). 
- Shannon Mooney has posted a save percentage of .893 in 21 starts.

DBU AT THE NCAA TOURNAMENT
The Patriots are 5-4-1 in the NCAA Tournament in the last six years. Last season, the Patriots fell in penalty kicks to West Texas A&M in the third round.

The winner of Sunday's match takes on the winner of the top half of the South Central bracket, which features No. 4 Dixie State, No. 1 UC Colorado Springs, and No. 4 Texas Woman's.
