COUNTDOWN TO TIP-OFF
Another day, another heart pounding overtime win for the Patriots. DBU finished up their weekend road trip with a nail biting 84-82 OT win over the Rams of Angelo State. It was the first time since the 2015-2016 season that the Patriots played back to back overtime contests (They did it twice that season). In both of those instances, the Patriots had several days to recover from the first contest, while the present squad had less than 48 hours in between games. Finally, it was the first time in program history that DBU won back to back games in overtime.

Now back at the Burg Center, the Patriots will host the Crusaders of Dallas Christian. Sitting at 1-8, the Crusaders will have a tall mountain to climb if they want keep DBU from tying the best start to a season in program history (Eight consecutive wins to start a season, 2017-2018 and 2008-2009). The Patriots have also set a program record for most consecutive road/neutral games won, with six of the first seven contests coming on the road.

PATRIOT STORYLINES
- With the overtime wins over the weekend, the Patriots have combined for 181 points in the last two contests.
- Senior guard Carter Brown scored a season high 19 points on Saturday at Angelo State. With that, he has raised his season average to 10.7 points per game. He is also second on the team in steals with 18.
- With the next six games at home, the Patriots not only have a chance to tie a program record for most wins in a row to start the season at eight, but also launch themselves into the record books.
-
Junior guard Tylan Dean earned Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Week after a pair of noteworthy performances over the weekend. According to the release, "Dean keyed a Patriot defense that held their opponents to .396 shooting from the field in a pair of overtime road wins at Lubbock Christian and Angelo State last week. Through two games, Dean averaged eight defensive rebounds and two steals…Dean helped force 21 LCU turnovers and on Saturday, helped force 20 ASU turnovers, including a key steal in overtime to ensure a DBU victory. Dean also added 14.5 points per game and 16 defensive rebounds during the week."

SCOUTING DALLAS CHRISTIAN
- An exceptionally young team, the Crusaders only have two upperclassmen on their entire roster (Juniors D'Aaron Davis and Jordan Watson).
- Dallas Christian enters the game at just 1-8. Their lone win coming back on November 9th when they knocked off Manhattan Christian 96-88.
- The Crusaders are shooting an average of 42.7 percent from the floor, but the vast majority of their points come from inside the arc. Once they step back behind the three point line that percentage drops to 30.5 percent.
- One thing to watch on Tuesday night will be the turnover battle. DBU is one of the best teams in the country at forcing turnovers, while the Crusaders are averaging 21.1 turnovers per game. Conversely, Dallas Christian is averaging just three steals per game.

ALL-TIME SERIES
DBU is undefeated against Dallas Christian with the all-time series record sitting at 5-0. These squads last met in 2017 when DBU beat the Crusaders, 89-67.
