COUNTDOWN TO TIP-OFF
The Patriots play host to non-conference opponent Randall University at the Burg Center after defeating Lubbock Christian for their fifth straight victory in the last five games. DBU now has the nation's longest winning streak in the NCAA at 36 games.
With 47 seconds left to play Jacobs stepped up and hit a deep three-pointer to give the Patriots the one-point advantage, 77-76.
Jordan Manse was then fouled after an LCU miss that put him at the line with just under 15 seconds in the ballgame. After knocking down a pair at the line, Jacobs grabbed a defensive rebound and was fouled with just over two seconds to play. Jacobs hit the first and missed the second, leaving an Isaac Asrat launch at the buzzer short, giving the Patriots the 80-77 win.
Manse added 20 points on 6-12 from the field, and made 6-10 three-pointers on the evening, good for sixty percent.
Jonathyn Washington and
Carter Brown scored 10 points each, while
JT Harris added nine points of his own.
