DBU Faces St. Mary's in Final Road Game of Regular Season

COUNTDOWN TO TIP-OFF
DBU looks to get back in the win column against St. Mary's after falling at home for the first time this season to No. 3 St. Edward's 94-81.

Despite the a few Patriot runs, a hot-shooting second half helped the Hilltoppers hold the lead for nearly the entire remainder of the game. With the loss, the Patriots snap the longest winning streak in the country at 37 games.

St. Edward's shot 50 percent from the field and 45 percent from the three-point line. DBU shot an impressive 53.6 percent from the field but couldn't put it together from beyond the arc going eight of 23.

Jonathyn Washington added a team-high 20 points of his own, one point less than the season-high for the junior from Frisco. Chandler Jacobs scored 19 points on 9-14 from the floor, good for 64 percent on the evening. Carter Brown chipped in 17 points on 5-7 from the field.

- The Patriots have averaged 84 points over their last two games, two points higher than the season average.

DBU leads the all-time series 15-10, as the Patriots defeated St. Mary's inside the Burg Center February 2nd in overtime, 84-79.
