COUNTDOWN TO TIP-OFF
The Patriots and Lions square off at the Burg Center in Dallas, on Saturday as DBU tries to improve to 9-2 in Heartland Conference play against Arkansas Fort Smith. The Patriots are coming off their third straight conference win after defeating Rogers State 94-80.

RSU lead by five with 14 minutes left in the second half, but the Patriots would not go quietly as they outscored the Patriots 45-33 in the second half. DBU shot 44 percent from beyond the arc in the second half and an impressive 52 percent from the field.

The Patriots had three players in double figures including Chandler Jacobs who scored a team-high 28 points, tying his season-high. Jonathyn Washington scored his season-high 21 points on six of nine from the floor, while JT Harris scored 10 points on four of five shooting.

PATRIOT STORYLINES
- The Patriots have won 34 straight home game and are now 48-6 at home in the last three seasons. 

- DBU averages 82.3 points per game as a team and outscores opponents by an average of 13.3 points per game.

- Chandler Jacobs leads the Patriots in scoring at 16.7 points per game in conference play. He also is tenth in the conference in assists at 2.5 per game.

- DBU as a team ranks 18th in the country in three-point field goals per game at 11.8.

- Conner Lidiak leads the team in three-point percentage at 47 percent on the season.
 
- DBU is shooting 47 percent as a team in conference play this season, just one percent behind conference leader Lubbock Christian.

- The Patriots lead the Heartland Conference in free-throw percentage at 74.5 percent for the season.

SCOUTING UA FORT SMITH
- The Lions are coming off a 89-83 loss to Newman. The Lions are 1-4 in their last four games.

- UAFS averages 75 points per game with four players averaging double-figures in scoring – senior guard Chris Crawford (17 ppg), junior guard Tyler Williams (12.9 ppg), junior guard Seth Hawley (11.7 ppg) and freshman forward David Ward(11.2 ppg). Crawford leads the team in assists (4 apg).

- The Lions average 34 rebounds per game – about five less than their opponents – and junior forward Matt Morgan leads the team in rebounding (6.2 rpg).

- UAFS allows 75 points per game and forces 14 turnovers per game. Crawford leads the team in steals (1.7 spg), and Morgan leads the team in blocked shots (2 bpg).

The Patriots are 9-12 all-time against the Lions. The Patriots won the last meeting 97-89 January 19th.
