DBU struggled to put together much of a threat Tuesday in a 9-0 loss to UT Arlington at Horner Ballpark. The Patriots (18-6) collected just five hits in being shut out for the second time in 2019.
Kragen Kechely took the loss in his first start of the season, allowing two runs on three hits with two strikeouts and one walk.
Burl Carraway was a rare bright spot out of the bullpen, holding the Mavericks (16-9) scoreless through two innings.
Jackson Glenn and
Blayne Jones' doubles were the only extra base hits the Patriots collected Tuesday.
