THE LEAD
DBU scored in each of its final five turns at bat to defeat No. 25 Oklahoma at Horner Ballpark on Wednesday by a score of 7-2. The Patriots (9-3) hit a season-high three home runs to win their fourth straight game.
After Oklahoma (11-2) jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning, Jimmy Glowenke tied it up with his first home run of the season in the fourth, a shot to left center. The Sooners retook the lead in the top of the fifth, but Glowenke answered with an RBI single in the bottom of the frame.
Evan Sandmann's second triple of the game drove in two in the sixth inning to give DBU a lead that would hold for the remainder of the game. Sandmann would come around to score on a Jackson Glenn single.
Bryce Ball and Augie Isaacson would follow with solo homers in the seventh and eighth innings, respectively, to close out the scoring. Burl Carraway earned his first career win with two scoreless innings of relief.
THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
 - Sandmann became the first Patriot to hit two triples in a game since Justin Wall did it against Monmouth on February 15, 2015.
 - Isaacson's home run was the first of his career.
 - The win was DBU's fifth straight against Oklahoma at Horner Ballpark.
COACH DAN HEEFNER ON SANDMANN'S SIXTH-INNING TRIPLE
"I think Evan Sandmann is kind of our motor right now, and we need him to be. He's a fifth-year senior and a guy who's had a lot of at-bats for us. Just a mature approach. For Evan to have an at-bat like that and get a good inning started."
