THE LEAD
DBU dropped the second game of a doubleheader at Missouri State on Saturday by a score of 6-0 at Hammons Field in Springfield, Missouri. The Patriots (32-15, 9-6 Missouri Valley Conference) collected one hit in the loss.
The Bears (15-31, 6-9 MVC) took an early lead in the first inning, scoring twice on three hits, including a solo home run. MSU plated two more runs on three hits in the fourth, Two hits and two Patriot errors led to a pair of insurance runs for the Bears in the bottom of the seventh.
Jimmy Glowenke's third-inning single was the Patriots' lone hit of the game.
