The DBU Women's Soccer team earned its first victory in the state of Hawaii in school history after defeating Hawaii Pacific 2-1 Thursday evening.
Audrey Alderink and
Delaney Schmidt entered in the goal column as DBU (2-0-1) held off the Sharks (1-1) for the remainder of the match.
Ebony Madrid opened up the scoring for HPU as a right-footed finish got past
Hope Koym in the 68th minute. Ten minutes later,
Audrey Alderink tallied her first goal of the season to knot the match up at 1-1.
Kaci Parks found
Delaney Schmidt heading for the net in the 86th minute as she buried home the game-winning goal putting the Patriots up 2-1.
