THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Women's Tennis team competed at the Texas A&M-Kingsville Quad in Corpus Christi, Texas, over the weekend. After recording a 4-1 record at the Pueblo Duals in Golden, Colorado, last weekend, the Lady Patriots competed against a strong field in their final tune-up before next week's ITA Regional Tournament.
In singles play,
Kate Daugherty led DBU with a 2-1 mark in A draw singles, while
Leslie Omeire also went 2-1 in her flight. Both
Taylor Leslie and
Ira Vogelmann posted 1-2 marks in their singles draws.
In doubles, the tandem of Daugherty and Leslie reached the finals of flight 1 doubles before falling 9-8, ending their seven match win streak.Â
Adriana Carpenter and
Ashton Wilfong also picked up a key win in doubles, defeating a strong team from St. Mary's.
