The Lady Patriots (0-2) fought hard in the second game of the Oredigger Volleyball Classic against No. 8 Northern State (2-0). Freshman
Macey Winburn and
Savannah Whitfield made an impressive start in their first tournament of the season. Senior
Emma Eakin led the team in kills (10) while
Strealy Sizelove led in assists (15).

In the first set, The Wolves fought hard to match every point scored by DBU. The Lady Patriots were tied 18-18 before the Wolves took the lead. Sophomore standout
Sofia Black had four digs in the first set. Senior
Strealy Sizelove also led the set with eight assists. DBU couldn't keep up with No. 8 Northern State as they came out on top 25-20. Freshman
Macey Winburn made her debut appearance for the Lady Patriots.

In the second set, the Wolves came out strong leading the set. Laura Snyder led Northern State in kills (10) after the first two sets. DBU's
Macey Winburn was on the leader board with five assists. Despite the Lady Patriots efforts, the Wolves came out on top again winning 25-20. Northern State led the game 2-0.

In the final set, freshman
Savannah Whitfield made her first start as a Lady Patriot. DBU stayed on top in the beginning until the Wolves fought back tying the score 7-7. Northern State rallied to make a comeback posting a score of 11-8. The Wolves were up most up the match, but the Lady Patriots came back fighting scoring 5 points in a row to bring to score to 24-21. The Wolves took the final match of the series, 25-21.
