No. 16 DBU Erupts in 115-78 Victory over Western New Mexico

THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Men's Basketball team returned to its winning ways with a 115-78 rout of Western New Mexico Thursday night at the Burg center. The Patriots led the Mustangs for the entire contest in route to their biggest victory of the season.

Chandler Jacobs erupted to open the first half, quickly recording seven points and five steals to place the Mustangs in a double-digit deficit that would not be overcome just four minutes into the game. DBU shot 60 percent from the field while 10 different Patriots recorded a three-pointer during the night's avalanche of offense.

Jacobs led the way for DBU, scoring a game-high 20 points on 9-11 shooting, he was joined in double figures by Carter Brown, Julian Miranda, and Broc Wisenbaker. Brown shot a perfect 100 percent from the floor while Wisenbaker tallied a career-high 12 points.

HEAD COACH BLAKE FLICKNER ON THE WIN
"Well coming off a week where we weren't great offensively, it felt great to see the offense get going. We moved the ball well and shot the ball much better, a lot of great things to be pleased with... Julian was great tonight, he moved the ball well, shot the ball well and came up with some good deflections."

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

12 – It was a team effort for DBU, as every Patriot recorded a bucket during the contest.
