THE RUNDOWN

The Patriots finished their trio of weekend matches with a 1-2 record, falling to Texas Wesleyan and Southwestern but defeating Texas A&M-Texarkana. Despite the 1-2 result, the Patriots were incredibly close to earning a weekend sweep. DBU lost their first two matches by a single set in each case, 4-3. The Patriots also defeated the Eagles by a single point.

Grant McKenzie and Aaron Capone highlighted the men's efforts as McKenzie won two of his three singles matches and stepped into the third line in doubles and earned a win in the second match. Freshman Aaron Capone won both of his singles matches in his first career collegiate action.
