LAST TIME OUT
The Patriots went 1-2 after three tough matches against Texas Wesleyan, Southwestern, and Texas A&M-Texarkana last weekend. Despite the record, DBU pushed their first two opponents to the limits, dropping both matches by just a single point. Now the Patriots look to rebound with two new opponents to close out the month of February.
PATRIOT STORYLINES
- Grant McKenzie won two of his three singles matches and stepped into the third line in doubles and earned a win in the second match.
- Freshman Aaron Capone won both of his singles matches in his first career collegiate action.
- DBU sits at 6-6 and will look to climb above .500 on the year with a pair of wins.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
DBU plays East Texas Baptist and Friends University this weekend. The Patriots are 3-0 against ETBU and will look for their fourth victory over the Tigers. Friends took the inaugural match over DBU, 5-3, back in 2015.
UP NEXT
DBU will head to Orlando, Florida for three matches starting on March 9th.
