THE RUNDOWN
The Patriots finished the regular season with a 74-55 victory over Texas A&M- International on Saturday. The win secured DBU's (20-8,14-8) fifth consecutive season of at least 20 wins and punched the Patriots a ticket into the first round of the Lone Star Conference Tournament next week.

The Patriot defense smothered the Dustdevils for a majority of the contest, chasing TAMIU's shooters off the three-point line in the second half and into a 2-10 performance from behind the arc. In contrast, DBU converted three-pointers at a 42 percent clip while capitalizing on 23 points off turnovers to turn a four-point halftime lead into a 19-point victory.
Â

Chandler Jacobs served as DBU's primary offensive distributor, dishing seven assists on his way to scoring 14 points of his own while
Julian Miranda added 11 points on 3-6 shooting from three.

HEAD COACH BLAKE FLICKNER ON THE WIN
"Awesome road victory against a team that played with a lot of energy and toughness. Chandler's seven assists, Conner's five three-pointers, and Jalen's defense all proved to be huge… We took care of the ball and only had ten turnovers. Despite a significant size disadvantage, we outscored them in the paint. I am really excited heading into what will be an exciting challenge in the conference tournament."
