LAST TIME OUT
The Lady Patriots cruised to a 2-0 weekend against Harding and Collin College to open their Spring slate last weekend. Kate Daugherty, Taylor Leslie, and Ashton Wilfong all battled their way to a perfect 6-0 record collectively. The ladies played well in both singles and doubles play and have a lot of momentum as they head out west to Abilene for their next two matchups.
PATRIOT STORYLINES
- DBU is historically perfect against both of their opponents this weekend (23-0 all time).
- The Lady Patriots are a collective 9-2 in singles and 4-2 in doubles after the opening weekend.
- Sitting at 6-1 overall, DBU could make it six in a row with another weekend sweep.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
The Patriots will be matched up against Hardin-Simmons and McMurry University. Hardin-Simmons is making their season debut while McMurry is 2-0 after wins over East Texas Baptist and LeTourneau University.
UP NEXT
DBU takes a trip to Hawai'i for a series of four matches. Their first contest will be against Chaminade University on February 14th.
