THE RUNDOWN
The Patriots return back to the Metroplex after going 1-2 over the two day stretch in Orlando, Florida. DBU earned a 5-2 win over Stonehill to start the trip, but would fall to Wooster, 4-3, and to Rockhurst, 6-1. All of the matches were extremely close and the Patriots played well over the life of the business trip.
Sophomore Grant McKenzie had another outstanding week, going undefeated at line one in singles play over the three-match weekend. McKenzie finds himself in the midst of a six-match winning streak in singles play. Grant also won two of his three doubles matches and has totaled records of 11-2 in singles play and 9-2 in doubles on the season.
Aaron Capone and Riley Smith also won two out of three in their single's matches. Despite the winning streak coming to an end, the Patriots are playing well as conference play approaches. DBU now sits at 9-8 overall for the year.
UP NEXT
DBU heads to Wichita Falls, Texas to play Midwestern State and then back home to take on Southeastern Oklahoma State here at home. The matches will take place on March 13th and 14th, respectively.
