DBU (6-1, 5-1) won for the fourth straight time after a 3-1 win over Cameron (1-15, 0-6) on Saturday afternoon at the Burg Center.Â
Halee Van Poppel led the way for the Lady Patriots with a game-high 23-kill performance as DBU rattled off their fourth consecutive victory since a loss to St. Edward's on September 18.
In the first set, DBU and Cameron found themselves tied at 18 apiece before a kill from Van Poppel put the Lady Patriots on top for good, outscoring the Aggies 7-2 down the stretch to claim a 25-20 win.
Cameron tied the match in the second set, winning 29-27. With the Lady Patriots leading 23-20, the Aggies stormed back and capped off the set with a pair of kills from Adrianna Navarette and an attack error to close out a two-point win.
DBU would bounce back with a pair of victories in the final two sets, winning in dominant fashion, 25-17 and 25-14.
