Blythe Obar and
Ashley Merrill have been named to the 2021 NCAA Women's Soccer Championship All-Tournament Team. The pair of Patriots were appointed to the 11-member roster following a historic 20-4 campaign that earned DBU its first-ever Final Four appearance.
 Obar, a defender from Frisco, Texas, earned All-Tournament honors after anchoring a DBU defense that forced back-to-back shutouts in wins over No. 9 UC Colorado Springs and No. 4 Seattle Pacific. While Merrill, a sophomore midfielder, tallied a goal, an assist, and placed three shots on frame during the Patriots' postseason run.Â
The duo adds NCAA All-Tournament recognition to a lengthy list of shared accolades. The sophomores were also named First-Team All-Conference and two-time All-Region selections.Â
