THE RUNDOWN
The Patriots went 1-2 throughout weekend action, edging the University of the Southwest 4-3 while dropping a match versus Midwestern State and an exhibition at Baylor, 0-7. DBU now falls to 0-1 in conference play with an overall record of 7-4.

Doubles play carried the Patriots to their lone win of the weekend versus USW. Josh Williams and Gabe Garrido blanked their competition, 6-0, while the tandem of Aaron Capone and Grant McKenzie posted a 6-2 victory in the line two spot. McKenzie would carry his strong performance into singles play, as the sophomore earned his eighth win through 12 games. Freshman Will Fiala would capture the deciding win at the line five spot to help the Patriots secure their seventh victory of the year.
